Abstract
The history, composition, and main activities of the O.E.C.D. Group of Experts on ‘Wear of Engineering Materials’ are described. The Group's method of working is illustrated through a discussion of some of the results that have been obtained. The co-operative research programmes which have been drawn up recently are discussed in detail.
