The paper considers the response of a multigimbal Hooke's joint gyroscope to constant and harmonic rates of turn. The resonant behaviour of the gyro is examined in some detail and it is shown that the suspension may be designed to make the device insensitive to harmonic inputs at twice rotor frequency. The predictions of the theory are tested experimentally.
