The flow through a slightly curved flame front located in a channel is analysed using actuator-disc theory. It is supposed that small variations in the conditions far upstream are specified (velocity u1, density ρ1, and flame speed S1, all as distributions across the channel), together with the density ratio across the flame, Λ. The curvature of the flame is related to u1, ρ1, S1 and Λ.
