Venturi-meters often have to be used in conditions different from those at which they have been calibrated or at conditions under which experimentation is not usually feasible, e.g. in hot-water feed pump systems or for large water flows. An attempt to give a simplified theoretical expression for venturi coefficients of velocity is being made. Such a theoretical expression would be augmentative or give a useful alternative to experiment.
