Among the scattered publications on multiloop linkages are a very few concerned with alternative closure modes and special configurations. A certain planar network of twelve bars and eight double-hinges, introduced more than a century ago, has received less attention in this regard than is its due. Here, prior work is built upon to make a more systematic investigation of its various forms and the transformations from one to another.
