Abstract
Abstract
A theoretical model of a porous pivoted slider bearing lubricated with a couple stress fluid has been considered in this study. The expression for load capacity has been obtained in terms of a couple stress parameter and a permeability parameter. The authors study graphically the dependence of load on these parameters and discuss the possibility of minimizing them to achieve a possible increase in load capacity.
