Abstract
The paper questions the accuracy of application of the Roelands equation in pressure viscosity relationships for lubricants. It shows that in the development of the equation Roelands discarded some measured data on high-pressure viscosity. The author suggests that conclusions based upon calculations using the Roelands equation should thus be re-examined.
