This work is an extension of the theoretical findings on the relatively new concept for radiative energy recovery system using porous media. The basic high-temperature flow system is considered, in which the hot radiating gas flows through a homogeneous porous layer. The porous layer as a grey body, in addition to convective heat exchange with the gas, can absorb, emit, and scatter thermal radiation.
