Abstract
Abstract
This article describes a portion of the Propulsion Integration project that deals with the design and optimization of the flow control in the FOI-EIC-01 inlet. It uses both computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and wind tunnel testing in a way that both disciplines strongly interact with each other. Both the wind tunnel and CFD produce inputs for its counterpart and use outputs produced by their counterpart. The main chain of events during the design is the initial CFD analysis followed by the wind tunnel test and final CFD analysis.
