Abstract
The introduction of Comité Européen de Normalisation (CEN) axle design methods has brought a unified approach to a topic that was formerly covered by a diversity of domestic national and industry standards within Europe. This paper highlights the major differences in their application from the industry standards formerly used in the United Kingdom.
