Abstract
The International Standards Organization, ISO, published in 1999 the results of the IATF discussions as ISO/TS16949, Quality Systems—Automotive Suppliers, particular requirements for the application of ISO 9001:1994. This new document incorporates the specific automotive industry system certification elements found in national standards such as QS9000 (USA), AVSQ ‘94 (Italy), EAQF ‘94 (France) and VDA6 (Germany).
