Abstract
Abstract
This article makes a detailed study of the influence of harmonics and the average undulation number of roundness profiles on the load bearing ability of interference-fitted assemblies. For this purpose, a plan of experiments was prepared by taking 32 factorial design with interference and the average undulation number as parameters. The analysis reveals that both the parameters influence the load bearing ability of interference-fitted assemblies. Further, it is found that harmonics influence the load bearing ability of interference-fitted assemblies.
