During the design process of a part or a die, geometry goes through many evolutions. For each evolution, prototypes are often re-manufactured for testing, which increases time and costs. To reduce the launching time to market for new industrial products, a new methodology is proposed to make three-dimensional puzzle prototypes or dies instead of single pieces. Each piece is manufactured by using the best process with regards to quality and geometry requirements.
