Abstract
In this paper the theoretical consideration of the caustics and the photoelasticity due to a concentrated load applied at a point of the straight boundary of the semi-infinite plate was studied. Then, the load distribution in a roller bearing was experimentally determined in terms of caustics and photoelasticity.
