Abstract
One classroom activity that may be helpful in demonstrating certain psychological concepts is the use of student-created skits. These in-class performances take up only one class period and are not graded, so students exhibit little anxiety and seem to find the activity intrinsically motivating. Concepts such as moral development stages, defense mechanisms, operant conditioning terminology, identity status, and parenting styles have been successfully demonstrated using skits. Students report that the skits are enjoyable and helpful far learning or remembering the material.
