Abstract
I am an inmate graduate psychology student. In this article, I discuss how I applied education in psychology to my own rehabilitation and explain why I believe that virtually any motivated inmate student can find significant moral and ethical growth and development in a serious approach to psychology. A few major developmental theories are mentioned in relation to my life. My journey from self-blame to self-acceptance is recounted, with brief examples of my personal growth as a student and as a mature human being. Suggestions about what it takes to be a successful psychology student are mentioned.
