Abstract
This article describes a multidisciplinary course in British Colleges of Further Education called the Certificate of Education. The course aims to provide training in teaching methodologies for individuals with diverse, nonacademic credentials. The objectives and philosophy of this course are discussed, as are its curriculum and evaluation techniques. The article emphasizes the application of elementary psychological principles to effective teaching in British postsecondary education.
