The Use of Student-Performed Developmental Exercises in the Classroom

Abstract

Using this technique, undergraduate volunteers test children 3 to 10 years old on a standardized set of developmental exercises. The sessions may be videotaped and shown later in class, or performed “live” in the classroom. The exercises promote understanding of developmental concepts; students consider them a worthwhile teaching tool.
