Abstract

In recent years, the establishment of new factories in the areas of wood and paper industries, give rise to increasing of poplar wood consumption. Major raw material of match factories in the country is poplar wood. The improper location of match factories has given rise, to unsatisfactory production. Integer programming was employed to solve the problem and recognize improper areas. In the programming, to maximize of match production, the products amounts of the factories was applied as an objective function and the raw material amounts has been used as a limitation equation in various areas of the country. The programming has been done for 12 cities in Iran. The results show the production of the match factories in 3 cities has not been an economic feasibility.
