Materials into the 21st century

Abstract

To coincide with the twenty-first anniversary of its formation, the Department of Materials Engineering at the University of Cape Town hosted a three day international conference in collaboration with the South African Institute of Mining and Metallurgy in October. The conference was broadly aimed at tracing major materials developments over the past two decades as well as addressing key issues into the twenty-first century.
