Abstract
Autocatalytic nickel plating, more commonly known as electroless nickel, is a well established process, widely used in industry. The process is capable of providing a hard, wear and corrosion resistant coating to a wide range of components. Typical applications include building up of worn or overmachined parts; electroforming of gramophone masters, press tools, and moulds; facing of printing plates and the production of electrotypes for the printing industry
