Abstract
The use of the powder metallurgy route in making a variety of Danfoss components is relatively new. The parts, therefore, must be specified carefully in order to meet the demands laid down by the design group Danfoss has a basic philosophy that everything specified must be measurable. The paper presented will review various PM components which are at present being manufactured in accordance with this philosophy. Comparisons will also be made with the analogous specification procedure for grey iron castings.
