Abstract
Details of an existing system for controlling the quality of powder-metallurgy bearings and parts are given. Emphasis is placed on the practicalities of the system rather than on the equipment used and, while all aspects of the process are covered, the description is devoted to control of production processes rather than control of raw materials.
An attempt is made to assess the cost and effectiveness of the system and the importance of close liaison between supplier and customer is discussed.
