Abstract
A study has been made of the “heat-treatment”, i.e. quenching and tempering, of sintered nickel steels, with and without copper additions, of 6·8 and 7·2 g/cm3 density. The results indicate that nickel improves strength and toughness; copper additions, on the other hand, also improve strength but lower impact-resistance.
