Abstract
The several processes involved in the manufacture of filters are reviewed from the point of view of economics. The survey is concerned mainly with the fabrication of bronze filters in the form of sheet or tube by four different processes: centrifuging a paste, spraying paste on to a mandrel, extrusion, and hydrostatic pressing. Costs are compared on the basis of capital investment and labour charges.
