Abstract
An outstanding property of copper and a major reason for its wide use in industry is its high electrical conductivity in relation to other metals. Greater and greater demands have been made recently by designers of electrical equipment and this, together with increasing competition from other metals and for some applications, even non-metals, has intensified the need to improve the other properties of copper.
