Abstract
Because there are so many ways of looking at automatic control, in objectively reviewing the pattern which its application is taking throughout the world's metal industry, one must constantly keep certain factors clearly in the forefront. First, what “automatic control” means, secondly, what its purpose is, thirdly, what effect it has.
