Gibbs energies of formation of molybdenum silicides have been determined by the Knudsen-effusion vapour-pressure method between 1410 and 1675 K. The results have been combined with data from the literature and the whole evaluated to give a set of self-consistent thermodynamic properties. The various inconsistencies between the data from the different investigations are discussed.
