In his recent paper, Speight derived an expression that describes the growth of gas bubbles precipitated in a material supersaturated with inert gas. Essentially, he assumed that all the bubbles have the same instantaneous radius r, that the only restraint to bubble growth is the surface tension of the solid, and that the gas inside the bubbles behaves ideally.
