Reality is not what we perceive with our senses, but what we understand and what we interpret by different associative processes, depending on our cultural predisposition and education. Many humorous situations are the result of misinterpretation of the information presented to the onlooker or the listener. In this review some examples of such misinterpretations of pictorial and verbal information are presented.
