Abstract
The lowest point of the globe and the most hypersaline lake in the world, the Dead Sea, has been the object of human curiosity for three millennia. Intensive research and development efforts over the last five decades have demonstrated its vast potential. The prospects of utilizing these resources through the technologies of the post-industrial era are promising; various methods of utilization are outlined.
