Abstract
Robert F. Hehemann, Professor of Physical Metallurgy at Case Western Reserve University, and former Chairman of the ASM International Metals Reviews Committee, died on 18 January 1986 at his home shortly before his 65th birthday. He made major contributions to the advancement of physical metallurgy, both as a researcher and as a teacher, as will be attested to by generations of undergraduate and graduate students that benefited from his courses.
