Abstract
A technique of locating a lower incisor bonded retainer is demonstrated. The technique was used in 46 selected cases over a period of 3 years, the retainer coming adrift in nine cases. The main problem found was plaque control and the retainer did not prevent axial inclination changes of the lower incisors. The use of rectangular ribbon arch wire is recommended for the control of corrected rotations.
