A method is described for superimposing and comparing serial lateral cephalometric films using de Coster's line, the Adams Blink Comparator and correction for vertical movements of Nasion due to growth. Using the method no significant change (P < 0·05) was recorded in Cranial Base Angle for a group of 85 subjects between 5 and 15 years. It is suggested that the method may remove inaccuracies due to vertical movements of Nasion.
