A case of the occurrence of both hypodontia or congenital absence of teeth and supernumerary tooth in the mandibular labial segment is reported. The supernumerary to simulate the lower central incisor, both for aesthetic purpose and for the maintenance of space. The orthodontic management of the patient was discussed.
