Abstract
The anodic polarisation behaviour of four iron-nickel-chromium alloys has been studied in solutions of orthophosphoric acid containing additions of chloride and fluoride ions and in solutions containing these ions together with ferric ions. The effect that these ions have upon the active and passive behaviour of the alloys has been determined, and is discussed in relation to their effect on the corrosion behaviour of the alloys in phosphoric acid solution.
