Abstract
The streamlined format for MPIF's annual conference on Powder Metallurgy and Particulate Materials, held on 18–21 June in San Diego, CA, was a resounding success. PowderMet 2006 did not appear to lose any appeal by being reduced to three days of technical sessions and a concurrent two-day industry exhibition. The location, minutes from the water's edge in sunny San Diego, probably had an influence in drawing over 900 attendees from 28 countries.
