Abstract
In the present paper, some calculation methodologies applied to the simulation of Bond test in grinding processes were presented. A comparative analysis was made with simulation results, using various methodologies, of the ball mill Bond test based on real values of the work index. This analysis was carried out with various minerals in a wide range of grindability. The results show that simulation can be considered another indirect way of work index determination, but both characterisation and calculation procedures could be of great influence on the goodness of the results obtained.
