Abstract
An experimental programme to determine the fatigue behaviour of hot rolled reinforced bars of two austenitic (AISI 304LN and AISI 316LN grades) and one duplex (AISI 2205 grade) stainless steels was conducted. The statistical model applied to define the S–N curves (Castillo et al.) of these products is also described. Finally, fractographic and microstructural analysis of the specimens allowed us to ascertain the parameters that have the greatest influence on the fatigue life of these structural components.
