Abstract
In this paper, a new NOx removal control technique coupled with energy recovery in a sintering plant is proposed. On the basis of energy calculation, it was found that the energy of sintered ore was large enough to supply the energy necessary to heat effluent flue gas to the catalytic temperature window. Moreover, the experimental results showed that sintered ore had a significant effect on catalytic reducing NO with adding NH3. The maximum NO catalytic reduction efficiency could reach 38% at 673 K, which means that the effluent flue gas from a sinter machine did not need further treatment to reach the limit of national pollutants emission standard of China.
