Abstract
Morbid adhesion of the placenta and placental abruption are abnormalities associated with significant maternal and fetal morbidity and mortality. Early recognition and appropriate management of these placental accidents may play a vital role in preventing fetal and maternal complications. The two cases discussed here were recently managed in the setting of a consultant led obstetric unit in a District General Hospital in North Wales, UK.
