The combination of flotation and hydrometallurgy had been introduced to dressing the ore in Yunnan, which involves Pt and Pd metallic minerals and serpentines containing high MgO, for recovering both simultaneously, which may be a new try in China. Based on experiments of leaching of Mg2+ and Fen+ and flotation of copper minerals and nickel minerals, two processing flowsheets are reported. One flowsheet is flotation leaching with sulphuric, and the other is leaching flotation of the residue. Generally, the first flowsheet is better in which recoveries of Cu, Ni, Pt and Pd are all over 80%, and MgO ratio of leaching is 98·81%, while the second is better in commercial and practical consideration.
