Toxicology has an important interdisciplinary role to play in the prevention of chemically induced cancer, in the detection of the side effects of anti-cancer drugs and in the reduction or elimination of side-effects. Toxicology is a vital approach to chemotherapeutics, with strong links to basic and clinical research.
