Superplastic zinc-aluminium eutectoid alloy blanks were bulged into a circular-base re-entrant die of angle 105° using air pressure. The deforming sheet was expanded against a plain or grooved horizontal ceiling; the variation in thickness along the side wall and the top of the bulges, the corner radius, and the degree of forming into square-bottomed concentric grooves as a function of time and pressure are reported.
