Abstract
Results are presented of an investigation into the influence of grain-boundary orientation on habitplane variant selectivity in proeutectoid ferrite sideplate formation in carbon steel, as indicated by constraints on the range of angles which the grain-boundary ferrite sideplate habit can make with the grain boundary. A statistical approach was adopted.
