Precipitation of the T1 (Al2CuLi) phase in Al-Cu-Li alloys is accompanied by an increase in the electrical resistivity. Measurements on Al-Cu-Li solid solutions and on the T1 compound show this increase to be entirely due to the very high resistivity of the T1 phase.
