Abstract
In December 2012, members of Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining were asked for their views on Steel World, the industry focused technical section of the Institute’s Ironmaking and Steelmaking journal.
The survey link was emailed to over two thousand members with Iron and Steel nominated as an interest in their IOM3 member profile. Over 50% of members replied, a good turnout for an electronic survey. The survey asked closed and open questions, and, as is often the case, individual comments provided more useful feedback than the broad statistics. The main findings are summarised below in this report.
