Abstract
A new computational method, Corpsaid, for analysing electrode kinetic data is described. The method is based on numerical integration and differentiation of the experimental data to formulate three independent relationships in order to solve for corrosion rate (icorr)and Tafel slopes (Ba and Bc). In general, the results obtained using Corpsaid are more accurate than those obtained using Betacrunch or the four point method. In addition, Corpsaid provides reliable values even in the diverging situations where Betacrunch and the four point method fail to give any results.
