Abstract
A solid state cell incorporating hydrogen uranyl phosphate tetrahydrate as a solid electrolyte has been developed which responds to hydrogen in the environment and dissolved in metals. Preliminary results are presented which show the cell can be used to detect hydrogen generated by corrosion reactions, electroplating and cathodic protection.
