Technique and Instrumentation for Polarisation Resistance Measurements: Report prepared for the European Federation of Corrosion Working Party on ‘Physicochemical Testing Methods of Corrosion—Fundamentals and Application’
Polarisaiion resistance measurements provide a valuable tool for corrosion rate measurements, but limitations and errors that can arise through technique and laboratory and commercial instrumentation are described. Some simple circuits for laboratory measurements are shown, together with a description of some commercial instruments.
